Hövding is a airbag protection for cyclists. The patent was bought by ISI group in 2024¹. Sigma Lundinova got the assignment to design next generation of Hövding.

Foldcurrent was assigned by Sigma Lundionova to design the new hardware. The focus for the new design was to improve quality, reliablity and add functions to improve performance.

I worked close with the FW department at Sigma Lundinova. The hardware work consisted of:

• New Schematic and new Layout
• Analog electronic design​
• Battery management (Charger, Fuel gauge)​
• Improved Power Management DC/DC​
• New Audio class-D amplifier​
• USB-C​
• Test & Verification
• Preliminary regulatory tests (EMC)​
